Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals following established menus and dietary guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in food prep and serving areas.
• Set up cafeteria serving lines and salad bars.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations to guarantee food safety and sanitation.
• Label and date all food items, ensuring proper rotation using first-in-first-out methods.
• Prepare patient trays and snacks according to physician diet orders and dietician-approved menus.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during all duties.
• Operate kitchen and cafeteria machinery efficiently.
• Deliver and pick up meal trays and snacks promptly to patient care areas.
• Stock kitchen supplies and store groceries properly upon delivery.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with food service protocols.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience

Previous experience in food service or healthcare settings is preferred.
