Position Overview:
Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Northern Plains region, where you will perform essential laboratory duties including blood collection, specimen preparation, and data management. This role involves drawing blood samples using venipuncture, heelsticks, or fingersticks, accurately labeling specimens, and supporting laboratory operations under the guidance of a clinical laboratory technologist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect blood specimens from patients of all ages with proficiency within the first 60 days.
• Manage appointment scheduling, answer telephones, and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare specimens and requisitions for reference laboratory testing and report results as needed.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, restock supplies, and ensure equipment cleanliness and functionality.
• Provide phlebotomy services at various community locations including nursing homes and health fairs.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:
Previous office and phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Requirements:
Must obtain BLS (CPR) certification within three months of employment if not already certified. Ability to perform venipuncture and other blood collection techniques competently and compassionately.
