We are looking for a warm and dedicated Hospitality Services Specialist to join a healthcare facility in the Midwest region. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to sanitation will directly contribute to the quality of care provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, including bed making, linen replacement, and supply restocking.
• Perform thorough cleaning tasks such as disinfecting patient areas, window washing, floor scrubbing, furniture moving, and mattress changing as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas like waiting rooms, lobbies, and hallways.
• Care for hospital floors including carpets and entryways, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure a safe environment.
• Replenish supplies in patient and common areas promptly.
• Respond quickly to urgent cleaning requests from staff and patients.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Adhere strictly to infection control policies to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria.
• Handle hazardous waste, including sharps and biohazardous materials, following proper disposal procedures.
• Demonstrate safety precautions related to infections, electrical, steam, chemical hazards, dust, and disinfectant solutions.
• Collect and dispose of soiled linens hygienically.

Education

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

Experience and Requirements

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift loads up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective time management with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
