What You Will Be Doing

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations using both standardized assessment tools and skilled clinical observation.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication, voice, fluency, language development, cognitive-linguistic function, and swallowing disorders.
• Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions grounded in current evidence-based practices.
• Partner closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, nursing staff, families, and caregivers to ensure whole-person, coordinated care.
• Provide inpatient speech therapy support on an as-needed basis, maintaining continuity of care across clinical settings.
• Educate patients and their families on home strategies that extend therapeutic progress beyond scheduled sessions.
• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Illinois.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
