Core Responsibilities

• Conduct a broad spectrum of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts studies
• Guide patients through each procedure with empathy, transparency, and professionalism
• Partner with radiologists and referring providers to deliver accurate, high-resolution diagnostic imagery
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, escalating technical concerns as needed
• Document all procedures with precision within the electronic health record system
• Pursue continuing education to remain at the leading edge of sonographic techniques and protocols

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related discipline
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is strongly preferred

Required Certifications

• Active ARDMS certification or an equivalent credential recognized by a national registry
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
