Position Purpose

The CT Technologist is responsible for the execution of high-quality Computed Tomography examinations, including specialized biopsy procedures. This role involves the meticulous maintenance of clinical image files and comprehensive patient record management.

Essential Clinical Functions

• Procedural Excellence: Performs CT scans utilizing evidence-based principles and standardized practices.
• Diagnostic Quality: Accurately assesses examination results for clinical appropriateness and image quality.
• Patient Education: Provides clear procedural explanations to patients to ensure informed consent and comfort.
• Documentation: Executes precise data entry into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and computerized imaging systems.
• Emergency Response: Identifies and intervenes in emergency clinical situations with appropriate urgency.

Specialized Requirements & Qualifications

• Certification (Required): ARRT registered in Radiology.
• Licensure (Required): Current Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) license.
• Advanced Certification: ARRT registration in Computed Tomography (CT) required within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: Two (2) years of CT experience preferred.
• Competencies: Advanced knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, radiation physics, and age-specific care (Neonate through Geriatric).

Position Purpose

Operating under the supervision of a Clinical Director (M.D., D.O., or PhD), the Technologist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep-related disorders. This scope includes diagnostic polysomnography, therapeutic titration, and clinical oversight of technical staff.

Essential Clinical Functions

• Patient Assessment: Integrates medical history and physiological status to determine patient-specific testing parameters.
• Diagnostic Testing: Follows established protocols for MSLT, MWT, and parasomnia studies.
• Therapeutic Intervention: Performs Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) mask fitting and oxygen titration.
• Technical Calibration: Ensures proper equipment functioning through physiological calibration and electrode application according to industry standards.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintains legible, accurate medical records to facilitate physician review and diagnostic interpretation.
