Echo Technologist Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Echo Technologist program.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience in echocardiography preferred.

Echo Technologist Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality echocardiograms, including transthoracic, stress, and transesophageal echo exams, following department protocols.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze diagnostic data and ensure accurate patient assessments.
• Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring a high standard of care and cleanliness.
• Accurately document findings and patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any adverse reactions during exams.
• Educate and support patients throughout the echocardiography process, addressing questions and ensuring a comfortable experience.
