Medical Assistant – Orthopedics
📍 Carmel, IN (with occasional travel to Greenwood or Mooresville)

An established orthopedic and sports medicine practice in Central Indiana is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support a high-volume orthopedic surgeon focused on hip and knee joint replacement. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinical professional with strong multitasking abilities, patient care experience, and a passion for helping people stay active.

About the Role:
In this position, you’ll work directly with patients and providers, helping to coordinate care and deliver an outstanding clinical experience. You’ll assist with office visits, perform preliminary evaluations, provide education, and handle administrative follow-through including scheduling and authorizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support physicians during patient visits
• Conduct and scribe patient evaluations into the EMR system
• Educate patients on injuries and treatment plans
• Manage phone and electronic communications
• Schedule testing and obtain prior authorizations
• Provide day-to-day clinical support in a fast-paced orthopedic setting

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of clinical experience in a physician office
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)

Schedule & Travel:

• Primarily based in Carmel, IN (4 days/week)
• One day per week in Mooresville or Greenwood, IN
