Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and elderly populations utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that address immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy targeting areas including communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families at every step.
• Facilitate education for patients and their families to ensure progress remains consistent after clinical sessions.
• Occasionally provide inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout treatment.
• Keep detailed and timely records that comply with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and professional collaboration.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment initiation.
