Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including complete physical examinations and in-depth medical history reviews prior to surgical intervention
• Interpret laboratory findings and diagnostic imaging to assist in identifying and confirming surgical diagnoses
• Work in close partnership with attending surgeons to develop individualized treatment and procedural plans tailored to each patient
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance, including room preparation, proper patient positioning, and instrument handling throughout procedures
• Manage pre- and post-surgical care with attention to wound care protocols, medication oversight, discharge coordination, and thorough patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotation experience with an emphasis in surgical settings is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid Indiana state licensure as a Physician Assistant or demonstrated eligibility to obtain
