Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Radiologic Technologist II specializing in CT imaging during night shifts. In this role, you will operate radiology equipment under physician supervision, ensuring accurate patient identification and adherence to physician orders. You will actively participate in mandatory meetings, continuing education, and departmental competency assessments to maintain high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identity using two forms of identification and confirm physician orders.
• Utilize resources efficiently and report any issues to support problem-solving.
• Engage in process improvement initiatives both within the department and across the organization.
• Collaborate positively with team members, contractors, physicians, and external agencies.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient information.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their representatives to ensure comfort and understanding of procedures.

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Radiologic Technology.
• Demonstrated proficiency in general operating room imaging and at least one specialty area.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and CT.
• Licensed by the appropriate state board of healing arts.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years of clinical experience post-graduation.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and radiological positioning protocols.
• Commitment to patient safety and radiation protection following ALARA principles.
• Ability to verify physician orders and safely administer imaging contrast agents.
• Effective communication skills to explain exam requirements and obtain informed consent.
• Leadership qualities with experience mentoring staff and students.

Physical Requirements: Light work involving occasional lifting up to 25 lbs and frequent standing or walking for 11-25% of the day.
