This role involves performing assigned clerical duties and assisting patients under the guidance of physicians, therapists, or nursing staff. Key responsibilities include timely and accurate documentation in line with organizational policies, delivering patient care across all age groups from newborns to geriatrics, and maintaining compliance with privacy regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).

Education: No formal education required; however, certification as a Medical Assistant (MA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Home Health Aide (HHA) is preferred.

Experience: Prior exposure to a medical environment is advantageous.

Licenses and Certifications: Must obtain a current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation. If driving is required, a valid driver's license and auto insurance meeting regional requirements are necessary. Preferred certifications include Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) credential from ASCP.

Skills and Abilities: Moderate computer proficiency, effective communication skills, basic medical terminology knowledge, ability to remain calm under pressure, and a compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care.

Physical Requirements: This position may require occasional heavy lifting up to 100 lbs and frequent standing or walking for 51-75% of the workday. Accommodations may be provided as needed.
