Join a dynamic healthcare supply team as an Acquisitions Specialist, where you will play a vital role in managing purchasing, vendor relations, and inventory control to ensure timely availability of essential products and equipment. This position involves monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and maintaining accurate records of equipment usage and shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee inventory management by establishing reorder points and stocking levels.
• Maintain up-to-date catalogs and price lists for purchasing and sales departments.
• Lead inventory processes and collaborate closely with accounts payable to ensure invoice accuracy and timely processing.
• Evaluate purchase requests for compliance with policies and determine appropriate ordering methods.
• Review contracts, bids, and quotes as directed, and resolve issues related to defective or unacceptable goods.
• Work with group purchasing organizations to secure favorable pricing and contract terms.
• Compare repair requests against existing service agreements and manage credits, returns, and replacements efficiently.
• Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain professional communication with team members, vendors, and external partners.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in purchasing, delivery, or stockroom operations, preferably within a medical or healthcare environment.
• Preferred: 2 or more years of relevant experience.

Skills and Abilities:

• Familiarity with Electronic Data Interface (EDI) ordering systems for placing and tracking orders.
• Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment purchasing processes.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements: This role involves medium work, occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs and frequently up to 10 lbs, with 26-50% of the day spent standing or walking. Accommodations are available as needed.
