Join a dedicated team in the heart of the Midwest region, where your role as a Dishwasher is vital to maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, cookware, and kitchen supplies, ensuring all items meet strict hygiene standards.
Essential Responsibilities
- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, washing by hand or using dishwashing equipment as assigned.
- Wash pots, pans, utensils, and trays following established procedures to guarantee cleanliness and sanitation.
- Maintain proper temperatures and chemical levels according to safety standards.
- Keep dishwashing areas orderly and compliant with safety regulations.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash and clean garbage cans using steam or hoses.
- Assist with transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, including loading and unloading deliveries.
- Adhere to privacy and security regulations regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with team members and other stakeholders.
Education and Experience
No formal education or experience is required; however, experience in a similar environment is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
ServSafe certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, procedure manuals, and operational instructions in English.
- Common sense and the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Physical Requirements
This role involves heavy work, occasionally exerting up to 100 lbs and frequently up to 20 lbs. Expect to stand or walk for 51-75% of the workday. Accommodations may be available as needed.
