The Associate Nurse Technician plays a vital role in delivering direct patient care and supporting licensed nursing staff within behavioral health settings. This position requires adherence to defined scopes of practice and unit-specific competencies, ensuring compassionate and effective care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform duties aligned with approved skills checklists and departmental policies.
• Engage in continuous learning through formal and informal educational activities to enhance clinical skills.
• Maintain strict compliance with privacy regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Foster professional communication and collaboration with patients, healthcare teams, external agencies, and the public.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned to support unit operations.

Education

Currently enrolled in an ACEN or CCNE accredited Registered Nurse program with at least one full year of clinical nursing completed.

Experience and Requirements

• Possession of a current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.
• Basic computer proficiency and strong multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to apply patient care principles.
• Openness to receiving instruction, feedback, and constructive criticism.

Physical Demands
