Join a dedicated team as a Part-Time EMS Logistics Technician supporting the operational readiness of emergency medical services in the Central Plains region. This role is vital in maintaining ambulances, support vehicles, patient transport equipment, and facility systems to ensure safety and reliability. You will collaborate closely with EMS leadership, field providers, and external vendors to coordinate maintenance and supply needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

Fleet & Equipment Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on ambulances and EMS support vehicles, including fluid checks, light replacements, battery inspections, minor repairs, and upkeep of vehicle interiors and exteriors. Schedule and coordinate vehicle service appointments with approved vendors. Maintain detailed fleet maintenance logs and mileage tracking. Inspect and troubleshoot patient movement devices such as Stryker cots and stair chairs, as well as non-specialized medical equipment like oxygen systems and monitors. Assist with installation and repair of vehicle technology systems including communication devices.

Inventory & Supply Control: Manage and replenish medical supply inventory for ambulances, stations, and clinical support areas. Ensure proper stock rotation, monitor expiration dates, and track high-use disposables. Receive and organize shipments, coordinate with vendors on orders and pricing, and maintain clean, compliant storage areas.

Facilities Support: Conduct basic facility maintenance such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, paint touch-ups, and upkeep of station equipment. Coordinate with facilities staff or contractors for more extensive repairs. Support readiness of station equipment including washers/dryers and oxygen cascade systems.

Documentation & Compliance: Maintain maintenance records in accordance with regional EMS board and agency requirements. Assist with asset tracking, equipment lifecycle documentation, and replacement recommendations. Support quality and safety initiatives by identifying hazards or equipment concerns. Adhere to privacy and security regulations regarding Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintain professional communication with patients, team members, contractors, and external agencies.

Education, Experience, and Requirements:

Required: Basic mechanical proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic techniques, understanding of vehicle systems and routine mechanical care, ability to perform minor repairs on EMS equipment, familiarity with radio systems and mobile data terminals, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely, valid regional driver's license, and CPR training.

Preferred: EMT or higher EMS provider certification, Stryker Service Technician knowledge, and experience in mechanical, facility maintenance, or logistics roles.

Physical Requirements: Medium work involving occasional exertion up to 50 lbs and frequent standing or walking.
