This role involves delivering nutrition education to patients, families, and healthcare staff while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough nutrition assessments utilizing the nutrition care process.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records.
• Provide tailored medical nutrition therapy interventions.
• Support menu planning and participate in related projects as needed.
• Serve a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric.
• Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain professional and effective communication with patients, families, healthcare team members, and external partners.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support department goals.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is required.

Experience and Licensure

Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. If registration is pending, it must be obtained within one year of hire. State licensure is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic understanding of enteral and parenteral nutrition.

Physical Requirements

This position involves light physical activity, including occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and frequent lifting up to 10 pounds. Standing or walking may be required 11-25% of the workday.
