Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, providing treatment and exercise guidance under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role involves delivering compassionate care to patients ranging from newborns to the elderly, ensuring their rehabilitation goals are met effectively.

Essential Responsibilities

• Adhere to organizational mission, vision, and values while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Foster strong communication and professional relationships with patients, families, healthcare team members, and external agencies.
• Perform duties within the scope of practice as defined by certification standards.
• Assess patient needs accurately and develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients on physical therapy processes and care techniques.
• Complete timely and precise documentation following established policies.

General Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include supervisory or management duties.

Education and Experience

• Education meeting licensure requirements at the time of issuance.
• Preferred: Previous experience in a similar clinical environment.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license through the appropriate state board.
• Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.
• If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance meeting state requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic understanding of Occupational Therapy principles.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements

This role involves medium work, including occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently lifting up to 10 pounds. Expect to spend 26-50% of the workday standing or walking. Accommodations may be provided as needed.
