The Registered Occupational Therapist provides evaluation and treatment for individuals with physical or cognitive disorders that limit their ability to perform daily activities. This role requires adherence to privacy regulations and effective communication with patients, families, healthcare teams, and external agencies.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver care within the scope of occupational therapy practice as defined by licensing boards.
• Assess patient needs and develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive care plans.
• Provide therapy to patients ranging from newborns to the elderly to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients on their care plans and progress.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
• Offer clinical guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants.

General Responsibilities: Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not include supervisory or management duties.

Education and Experience: Education meeting licensure requirements at the time of issuance.

Licenses and Certifications: Current Occupational Therapy licensure through the appropriate state board, Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, valid driver’s license and auto insurance if driving is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a similar clinical environment is advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles, effective communication skills, and basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements: Medium work involving occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent standing or walking for 26-50% of the workday.
