This role involves coordinating routine and special payroll runs, preparing detailed earnings, tax, and deduction reports, and handling garnishments and other legal withholdings with accuracy and professionalism.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and process payroll runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Prepare periodic payroll reports for various departments and reconcile quarterly filings.
• Manage garnishments, child support, tax levies, and bankruptcy withholdings, including employee notifications.
• Assist auditors by providing requested payroll information and documentation.
• Respond to employment verification requests from external sources.
• Collect, verify, and securely store payroll data, maintaining compliance with privacy regulations.
• Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and prepare summary reports.
• Collaborate with third-party payroll and benefits vendors as needed.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security standards regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain professional communication and relationships with team members, contractors, physicians, and external agencies.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of three years progressive payroll experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or business school preferred.
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is advantageous.

Licenses and Certifications:

• No mandatory certifications required; industry-recognized payroll certifications are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of Federal and State payroll regulations and laws.
• Proficient in Federal Wage & Hour laws and payroll procedures.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Physical Requirements: This position involves light work, occasionally exerting up to 25 pounds and frequently up to 10 pounds. Approximately 11-25% of the workday may involve standing or walking.
