Essential Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to plan and conduct therapeutic programs.
• Maintain compliance with privacy regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, healthcare team members, and external agencies.
• Perform duties within the scope of practice as defined by certification boards.
• Accurately assess patient needs and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients on care procedures and goals.
• Complete timely and precise documentation following organizational policies.

Education and Experience

• Education aligned with certification requirements at the time of issue.
• Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) through the appropriate state board.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance meeting regional requirements if driving is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar clinical environment is advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Fundamental understanding of Occupational Therapy principles.
• Strong communication skills.

Physical Requirements
