This full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role involves direct patient care and supportive activities under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, emphasizing safety and quality outcomes.

Essential Functions

• Monitor vital signs, dress wounds, administer basic procedures, and provide essential patient care.
• Perform IV therapy as required and incorporate patient age and cultural diversity into care plans.
• Observe and report changes in patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions to providers.
• Maintain compliance with privacy regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Interview patients to assess medical conditions and document findings accurately.
• Assist physicians during examinations and review orders, lab requests, and follow-up needs with patients.
• Administer specified medications orally or via injection, documenting time and dosage.
• Collect and test samples such as urine, blood, and sputum; sterilize equipment and maintain clinical supplies.
• Respond to patient inquiries, follow up on missed appointments and lab results, and coordinate referrals.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding of nursing functions in a clinical environment.
