Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using standardized tools, clinical observation, and patient history review.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient's communication profile, personal goals, and long-term rehabilitation needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions addressing speech, language, fluency, voice, cognitive-linguistic function, and swallowing disorders.
• Work in close collaboration with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, nursing staff, caregivers, and families to deliver seamlessly coordinated care.
• Provide meaningful education and home program guidance to patients and their support networks to encourage carry-over between clinical sessions.
• Support inpatient speech therapy services as needed, maintaining continuity across care settings.
• Complete documentation in a thorough, timely, and compliant manner consistent with applicable state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and peer collaboration to remain at the forefront of evidence-based practice.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet conferred.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Kansas.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
