Job Description

• Perform thorough patient assessments encompassing comprehensive physical examinations and in-depth medical history evaluations
• Support the diagnosis of surgical conditions through careful analysis of laboratory findings and diagnostic imaging
• Partner with attending surgeons to develop and carry out individualized surgical care plans tailored to each patient's needs
• Assist intraoperatively by preparing the surgical environment, managing patient positioning, and providing hands-on instrument support throughout procedures
• Oversee pre- and post-operative patient care including medication management, wound assessment, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from a fully accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical training with a meaningful focus on surgical rotations strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid Kansas state licensure as a Physician Assistant, or demonstrated eligibility to obtain

Skills

• Solid foundational knowledge of surgical technique, sterile field management, and operative protocols
• Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting diagnostic data and contributing meaningfully to complex clinical decisions
