General Summary: Collaborate with supervising physicians to provide direct patient care following established policies and protocols. Deliver comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population across various age groups, focusing on high-risk individuals. Diagnose and manage medical conditions while coordinating with community partners to ensure integrated care.

Essential Functions: Conduct initial and periodic histories and physical exams. Manage acute, episodic, and chronic conditions in ambulatory care settings, referring patients when cases exceed your expertise. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs, radiology, and EKGs within clinical privileges. Promote health through patient-centered education and disease prevention. Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and treatment for conditions including addiction and family violence. Collect specimens for lab testing and arrange consultations or special studies as needed. Document patient progress using SOAP notes and maintain comprehensive medical records. Obtain informed consent and educate patients and families on preventive care and treatments. Prescribe medications and medical devices, including controlled substances within licensure and policy guidelines. Perform minor procedures such as excisions, biopsies, and laceration repairs. Deliver emergency interventions and manage an assigned patient panel. Participate in on-call duties and refer complex cases to supervising physicians. Engage in quality and process improvement initiatives and pursue ongoing professional development. Maintain workspace cleanliness and adhere to organizational policies. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and participate in peer evaluations.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Certification Required: Active BLS/CPR certification and licensure as a PA or APRN in the state of Kansas.

Preferred Experience: 3-5 years of clinical work experience preferred.
