Essential Functions

• Collect all necessary demographic details, verify insurance eligibility, obtain assignments and signatures to admit or pre-admit patients while adhering to State and Federal regulations, maintaining a 98% accuracy rate nationally.
• Notify Financial Counselors regarding private pay or uncertain insurance coverage.
• Distribute admission paperwork promptly to relevant departments and staff.
• Assist with patient transport as needed, serving a diverse patient population from newborns to the elderly.
• Comply with HIPAA privacy and security standards concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Collect co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles according to insurance programs and contracts.
• Process patient payments and complete daily deposits accurately.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills

• Basic clerical, computer, and keyboarding skills.
• Effective communication abilities.

• Medical terminology knowledge is advantageous.
