Join a dedicated team providing crisis stabilization services 24/7 to adults and youth experiencing mental health emergencies in the Midwest region. This role focuses on delivering intensive, goal-oriented support to individuals in crisis, aiming to reduce hospital admissions and law enforcement involvement while promoting engagement with outpatient treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centered case management using proven methods to alleviate mental illness symptoms and enhance emotional and functional well-being.
• Provide crisis stabilization at a specialized residential facility, conducting trauma-informed risk assessments under clinical supervision.
• Collaborate regularly with caregivers, family members, physicians, and treatment providers throughout the crisis episode.
• Assist in coordinating appropriate care levels post-assessment, utilizing de-escalation techniques in high-intensity situations.
• Support clients in meeting treatment goals, medication adherence, crisis management, and daily living activities, including one-on-one safety monitoring as needed.
• Develop and implement plans to facilitate follow-up mental health appointments and successful reintegration into home, community, school, and outpatient services.
• Work flexible hours including some nights and weekends based on community crisis demands.
• Complete all required documentation, training, and competency reviews promptly and accurately.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is required.
• Preferred degrees include Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or Special Education with specialized training in human development and family dynamics.
• Three to five years of professional experience in mental health services, crisis response, or related areas is preferred.
• Experience educating clients on self-care and improving daily living skills for two or more years is advantageous.

Licensure and Requirements

• Completion of CPST Case Management online training, KHS online training, and passing background checks including KBI, child abuse, and adult abuse registries.
• Completion of Adult Case Management training, CPR, and First Aid within 60 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle are necessary.
