Deliver professional nursing care to patients within a behavioral health setting during part-time night shifts. This role involves working under physician guidance to provide compassionate and comprehensive care. You will mentor and train new staff and students, ensuring adherence to nursing standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate patient needs, maintaining detailed care plans within your scope of practice.
• Promote patient independence by setting care goals and involving patients and families in discussions about medical issues, medications, and self-care.
• Administer and manage medications accurately and timely, while educating patients and families on physical, emotional, and psychosocial aspects of care.
• Document patient care thoroughly and observe changes in patients’ physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual conditions, reporting as necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Foster effective communication and professional relationships with patients, families, healthcare team members, and external agencies.

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Licensure & Certifications: Current Registered Nurse license in a compact state; BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of hire or orientation completion. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, or AWHONN may be required depending on department policy.

Experience: Previous experience in a similar behavioral health environment is preferred.

Skills & Abilities: Strong communication skills, ability to multitask and prioritize, basic computer proficiency, and application of nursing principles.

Physical Requirements: Ability to occasionally exert up to 100 lbs and frequently up to 20 lbs; standing or walking 51-75% of the time, with or without accommodation.
