Responsibilities

• Create personalized therapy plans to address immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions that concentrate on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
• Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families for integrated care solutions.
• Provide education to patients and families to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity in care.
• Ensure thorough and timely documentation meets all relevant guidelines from state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Remain engaged with ongoing advances in the field through continuous professional education and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA is not yet attained.

Certification

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obligatory within 30 days post-hire.
