Description

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using a combination of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Design customized treatment plans addressing immediate goals alongside long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Conduct individual speech therapy sessions that center on a spectrum of needs including communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Work in tandem with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families creating integrated care strategies.
• Provide vital education to patients and families that support therapy progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Facilitate the occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring comprehensive care continuity throughout treatment.
• Maintain updated documentation in accordance with all federal, state, and organizational protocols.
• Engage in ongoing learning to keep abreast of the latest advancements in our field, fostering a collaborative professional spirit.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days post-employment.
