What You'll Do

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including complete physical examinations and in-depth review of relevant medical histories
• Interpret imaging, lab work, and diagnostic findings to support accurate surgical evaluations and diagnoses
• Partner with attending surgeons to develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and surgical plans
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance — from room preparation and patient positioning to instrument handling throughout procedures
• Deliver high-quality pre- and post-operative care encompassing medication management, wound care protocols, discharge coordination, and thorough patient and family education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required
• Clinical training with a meaningful surgical rotation component is strongly preferred

Required Certifications

• Active, unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Active Kentucky state licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain licensure
