What You’ll Do

Conduct Patient Assessment

• Evaluate physical capabilities and develop individualized rehabilitation plans to meet patients’ specific recovery goals.

Execute Rehabilitation Techniques

• Utilize a wide range of physical therapy interventions—such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and equipment-assisted treatments—to improve strength, mobility, and function.

Track Patient Improvement

• Monitor outcomes, adjust treatment strategies as needed, and ensure consistent progress toward rehabilitation goals.

Coordinate with Healthcare Teams

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab professionals to deliver well-rounded, patient-centered care.

Guide Patients and Caregivers

• Educate patients and their support systems on home exercises, adaptive equipment, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term success.

Encourage Wellness and Mobility

• Promote physical activity and preventive care strategies to enhance patients’ overall health and reduce the risk of re-injury.

Qualifications

Education:

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
• New graduates encouraged to apply

Licensure & Certification:

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Louisiana
• Certification in a specialty area (e.g., orthopedics, geriatrics, neurology) is a plus

Skills & Experience:

• Clinical or outpatient experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment
