Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric populations using standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
• Create tailored treatment plans designed to address immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to devise holistic care strategies.
• Provide essential education for patients and their families to promote progress beyond clinical visits.
• Engage in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions when needed, ensuring seamless continuity throughout the care journey.
• Document patient information meticulously and in a timely fashion while adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer cooperation.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those yet to achieve ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
