Lead the Information Systems department, overseeing all aspects of information technology and telecommunications within a healthcare setting. Develop, implement, and assess IT programs through comprehensive system analysis to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish policies and procedures for procurement, installation, and support of computer systems, applications, and communication networks.
• Design and execute strategies for internet and intranet platforms.
• Collaborate with leadership and department heads to identify and address IT and communication needs.
• Serve as the Information Security Officer, attending compliance meetings and reporting any security incidents.
• Ensure system backups comply with established policies.
• Stay current with healthcare IT principles, technologies, regulations, and standards.
• Manage IT projects including design, planning, budgeting, and reporting.
• Conduct quarterly audits of PC systems and oversee installation of hardware and software hospital-wide.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of HIPAA and other regulatory privacy and confidentiality requirements.
• Optimize staffing by forecasting personnel needs and prioritizing departmental workload.
• Prepare and monitor the department budget and evaluate staff performance.
• Demonstrate flexibility, organization, and resilience in high-pressure situations.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is typically required. Advanced degrees or certifications in healthcare IT or information security are highly valued.

Experience: Proven experience managing IT operations, preferably within a healthcare environment, including knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.

Requirements: Strong leadership skills, expertise in system analysis, project management, and a deep understanding of healthcare information systems and security protocols.
