Key Responsibilities:

• Operate specialized radiographic equipment for angiographic imaging, applying appropriate techniques and accessories to achieve superior image quality.
• Manage post-processing of images with precision and care.
• Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols when handling radiation-producing devices.
• Prepare patients thoroughly for radiologic procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation such as patient consent and history is completed before procedures begin.
• Assist physicians during procedures, including pre-procedural preparation, sterile scrub duties, and post-procedural patient care.
• Set up sterile trays and maintain sterile technique during diagnostic procedures.
• Cross-train in hemodynamic monitoring to support comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and safe work environment, performing equipment checks prior to use.
• Follow universal precautions and promote compliance among staff and physicians.
• Ensure accurate billing for procedures and supplies, promptly reporting any discrepancies.
• Utilize downtime effectively by assisting in other departments as needed.

Education: Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program with certification in cardiovascular technology or equivalent credentials is preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in a catheterization lab or interventional radiology setting is highly desirable, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and patient-centered care.

Requirements: Certification by ASCP or equivalent, knowledge of radiation safety, ability to maintain sterile technique, and excellent communication skills.
