Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Sterile Processing Technician, where your role is vital in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of medical instruments and supplies. This full-time, on-site position is based in a regional healthcare facility serving the Southern United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and sort used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for decontamination.
• Manually clean supplies to remove contaminants and waste, while operating and maintaining decontamination machinery.
• Prepare and package supplies for sterilization processes.
• Monitor and operate sterilization equipment to ensure proper function.
• Inspect supplies carefully to confirm they are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
• Test sterilization equipment regularly and report any malfunctions promptly.
• Sterilize, prepare, wrap, and organize equipment into instrument trays for medical procedures.
• Prepare necessary instruments and equipment for surgeries, examinations, and medical carts.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization procedures, equipment maintenance, and supply inventories.
• Manage inventory control, reorder supplies as needed, and monitor expiration dates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission and uphold organizational values.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Certification in sterile processing (e.g., CBSPD or IAHCSMM) is preferred.

Experience

Previous experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare environment is advantageous but not mandatory. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
