Position Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct a broad spectrum of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts studies
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout each procedure, communicating each step with transparency and care
• Work in close coordination with radiologists and referring physicians to produce high-quality, diagnostically sound imaging
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and report issues related to ultrasound equipment to ensure consistent operational performance
• Document all procedures with accuracy and diligence within the electronic health records system
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with evolving imaging standards and techniques

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related discipline
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is strongly preferred

Certifications Required

• Active certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an accepted equivalent
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
