Position Overview and Responsibilities include:

The Physical Therapist Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide effective therapeutic interventions. This role is crucial in helping patients achieve their treatment goals and regain their highest level of independence.

• Implementing prescribed physical therapy treatment plans
• Administering therapeutic exercises and modalities
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress
• Assisting with patient education regarding safety, proper movement, and home exercises
• Maintaining accurate and timely records in compliance with healthcare standards
• Supporting a collaborative, team-based approach to patient care

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Michigan
• Previous experience in an outpatient or clinical setting is preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment
