Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) interested in supplemental PRN hours. The position offers flexible shifts Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM, and weekends from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Shifts may be full or partial (6-8 hours). Prior experience in urgent care, emergency care, or primary care is highly preferred.

Role Overview: The PA/NP will extend the physician's role by providing patient-centered evaluations and communication. This role involves collaborating closely with physicians to deliver high-quality care, functioning under applicable state regulations, and ensuring all medical documentation and orders meet required standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments including health histories, physical exams, and risk evaluations.
• Order and interpret laboratory, radiographic, and bedside diagnostic data.
• Establish medical diagnoses and manage therapeutic procedures.
• Document patient history, assessments, and care plans accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate individualized patient care.
• Prescribe and regulate medications in accordance with physician agreements and legal requirements.
• Perform and document history and physical exams for admissions, observations, consultations, or clinic visits.
• Prepare discharge paperwork and summaries timely for assigned patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, referring physicians, and support staff.
• Participate in quality improvement, safety, and utilization initiatives.
• Alert physicians promptly to critical changes in patient status or test results.
• Comply with medical staff rules, regulations, and health information management policies.
• Prepare and submit billing materials accurately and promptly.
• Share on-call duties with physician backup as applicable.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintenance of required continuing medical education.
• Previous experience as a PA or NP preferred.
• Experience in urgent care, emergency care, or primary care preferred.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or equivalent for NPs.
• Licensed to practice in the relevant state.
