Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging as necessary while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.
• Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery throughout patient visits, including accurate and up-to-date medical record maintenance.
• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, and documenting chief complaints and medical history.
• Monitor patients exhibiting abnormal symptoms, communicate findings to physicians, and document observations thoroughly.
• Assist with testing and treatment procedures under physician supervision, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, and coordinating necessary referrals and testing.
• Support minor surgical preparations and physical exams, ensuring proper consents are obtained before invasive procedures or immunizations.
• Distribute educational materials and confirm patient understanding of treatment plans and medication usage.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as required.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.

Education and Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or an accredited Nursing Program is required.

Work Shift: First shift, full-time (40 hours per week).

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
