Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a setting that exemplifies best practices and outstanding customer service. This role fosters relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, relevant Nurse Practice Acts, and regulatory agency standards. The position supports acute care departments including Medical Units, Surgery Units, Emergency Departments, Intensive Care, Childbirth Center, Pediatric Unit, Operating Room, Perianesthesia, Endoscopy/GI, and Cardiac Cath Lab.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
• Apply new knowledge from ongoing education to promote cost-saving and enhance patient care.
• Make patient care assignments based on nurse expertise, patient acuity, and technical needs.

• Communicate clearly to manage expectations and provide timely responses to patient needs.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school or, if unaccredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications.

Licensure:

• Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state board.

Work Shift: Night shift (4th shift), full-time, 36 hours per week.
