Job Summary: Join a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a clinical setting. This role focuses on supporting oncology patients by assisting with healthcare delivery and patient management tailored to the needs of the practice.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triage appropriately, and offer reassurance, clear teaching, and guidance to patients.
• Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery throughout patient visits, including accurate and up-to-date medical record documentation.
• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Monitor and communicate abnormal symptoms to physicians and document findings thoroughly.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings under supervision.
• Manage medication samples and logs, arrange necessary testing or admissions, and obtain required referrals and consents for procedures or immunizations.
• Distribute educational materials and support patient understanding of treatment plans and medication usage.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, sterilizing instruments, and verifying equipment functionality.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.

Education and Experience Required:

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required.

Work Shift:

Day shift, full-time (40 hours per week).

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
