Job Summary: Support nursing practice and patient care delivery through a blend of direct care, communication, and clerical duties.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Fiscal Responsibility: Efficiently utilize supplies and equipment, complete assignments promptly, adhere to shift schedules, and support unit goals to reduce waste.
• Quality: Participate in documentation per unit standards, stay current with policy updates, problem-solve, multitask within scope, and contribute ideas to improve workflow and patient experience.
• Patient Satisfaction: Promote positive patient interactions, respond promptly to needs, maintain professionalism with electronic device use, and practice purposeful rounding.
• Patient Safety: Ensure safe patient mobilization, use two patient identifiers for all tasks, report unusual occurrences, tailor care routines as assigned, and comply with HIPAA and social media policies.
• Professional Growth: Share knowledge with colleagues, demonstrate leadership, participate in councils, serve as a resource and preceptor, identify learning needs, and engage in departmental goal development.
• Customer Service: Engage patients and families respectfully, maintain a quiet and professional environment, be flexible with assignments, practice AIDET communication, foster teamwork, and provide holistic care to diverse populations.

Education and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA license with 5+ years experience accepted in lieu of diploma or GED.
• Basic BLS certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Work Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 (PRN/part-time)

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
