Job Summary: Provide essential support to physicians and advanced providers in delivering patient care for episodic minor illnesses, injuries, and routine evaluations at Immediate Care centers. Responsibilities include obtaining diagnostic digital images, assisting with patient registration and discharge, data collection, treatment planning, patient education, follow-up, and supporting daily clinic operations under the guidance of an RN or provider.

Registration/Discharge:
- Expertly use current computer systems (Meditech, EMR, PACS) to facilitate patient care documentation.
- Verify insurance and identification documents.
- Ensure accuracy of diagnosis codes and procedural terminology.
- Review billing post-visit.
- Discuss plan of care with patients before discharge.
- Manage telephone communications collaboratively with providers and nursing staff.

Clinical Duties:
- Prepare patients for examinations based on their complaints.
- Alert RN or provider immediately for urgent cases.
- Collect and document initial patient data per clinic policies.
- Assist in scheduling diagnostic procedures and obtain necessary authorizations.

Diagnostic Testing/Treatment:
- Perform delegated tests and treatments following protocols.
- Produce high-quality digital images acceptable to providers and radiologists.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards.
- Operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment.
- Follow age-specific radiology protocols.
- Document treatments and patient responses.
- Maintain laboratory competencies as required by regulatory agencies.
- Participate in proficiency evaluations.
- Demonstrate skills in splinting, phlebotomy, urine drug screening, EKG testing, and other technical clinic operations.

Medication Administration:
- Administer medications as directed and document accordingly.
- Ensure pharmaceutical records comply with regulations.

Supplies:
- Order and manage clinic supplies efficiently.

Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of a Limited or Associate Degree Radiology Technologist program; AS degree preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedural and diagnostic coding.
- Proficient computer user.
- Basic Life Support certification (may be obtained upon hire).
- Tuberculin Screening Tester Certification (may be obtained upon hire).
- Minimum one year experience in a medical office setting, preferably Family Medicine, Orthopedics, or Immediate Care.

Licensure/Certifications:
- Must be certified by the state health department.
