Overview: Lead a dedicated respiratory therapy team by ensuring efficient operations and exceptional patient care within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating respiratory and sleep disorder services, and maintaining high standards of clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee scheduling, record keeping, and work assignments for respiratory therapy and sleep disorder services.
• Provide expert guidance to physicians to ensure appropriate care delivery.
• Review and update departmental policies and procedures as needed.
• Manage orientation and training for new staff members.
• Ensure all equipment is regularly inspected and meets manufacturer standards, promptly reporting any safety concerns.
• Conduct timely performance evaluations for assigned staff.
• Apply clinical expertise to care for patients with diverse diagnoses and age groups.
• Serve as Clinical Coordinator for respiratory therapy students.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.

Education and Experience:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree from a respiratory therapy program accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education (JRCRTE).
• Minimum of five years of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience.
• At least three years in a management or supervisory role within healthcare preferred.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner as required by the regional health professions bureau.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification for sleep disorders.

Work Schedule: Full-time, first shift, 40 hours per week.
