Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triage appropriately, and offer patients reassurance, clear instructions, and education.
• Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery throughout patient visits by maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints, and communicate any abnormal findings to the physician.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings.
• Manage sample medications and logs, arrange necessary testing or admissions, and obtain required referrals and consents for procedures or immunizations.
• Distribute patient education materials and confirm patient understanding of treatment plans and medication usage.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to the evolving needs of the practice.

Education and Experience Required:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.
