Essential Responsibilities:

• Apply clinical expertise and sound judgment to care for patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, ensuring treatment plans are effective and patient-centered.
• Operate therapeutic equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, and wound care devices.
• Guide patients in the use of assistive devices, braces, orthotics, prosthetics, and exercise equipment.
• Lead mobility, strengthening, muscle reeducation, gait training, and activities of daily living exercises.
• Adapt therapy techniques for patients with cognitive or physical limitations to maximize their rehabilitation potential.
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with healthcare accreditation standards and departmental policies.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, including peer review and patient care evaluations.
• Foster excellent communication and customer service with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Supervise aides, students, and volunteers, supporting their development and departmental goals.
• Contribute to educational efforts within the therapy department and pursue ongoing professional development.

Education and Experience:

Graduation from an accredited Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent bodies. A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree is required. Commitment to continuing education relevant to clinical practice is expected.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the applicable state.
• Current CPR certification is mandatory.
