Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.
• Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by ensuring medical records are accurate and up to date. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
• Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, documenting findings thoroughly in medical records. Ensure patients understand physician instructions upon discharge.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings. Manage sample medications and maintain related logs.
• Coordinate patient testing, admissions, referrals, and follow-up on test results, notifying patients as needed.
• Distribute educational materials and support patient understanding of treatments and medication usage.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.

Education and Experience Required:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.

Work Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm

Location: Serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
