Job Summary: This leadership role is dedicated to advancing organizational performance, optimizing operational systems, and enhancing the patient experience within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest. The Administrator of System Excellence and Operations spearheads process improvement initiatives, project management efforts, and leadership development programs to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Experience Oversight: Lead initiatives to boost patient satisfaction and engagement by collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to streamline care delivery and service touchpoints. Monitor and enhance patient experience metrics aligned with organizational goals. Ensure timely and accurate submission of experience data to regulatory programs such as CMS Inpatient and Outpatient Quality Reporting, Value Based Purchasing, and other quality scorecards.
• Systems Excellence: Drive the adoption of performance excellence frameworks across departments, integrating methodologies like Lean Six Sigma to improve operational efficiency. Align systems with strategic objectives and regulatory standards by developing and managing comprehensive performance excellence frameworks.
• Process Improvement: Identify and prioritize opportunities for optimizing processes. Facilitate cross-functional teams to achieve measurable improvements, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Project Management: Oversee strategic and operational projects from start to finish, including developing project charters, timelines, and resource plans. Track progress, mitigate risks, and ensure projects meet deadlines and goals.
• Leadership Development: Conduct annual training needs assessments and design leadership development programs. Mentor emerging leaders and support succession planning while maintaining internal communications to promote development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in hospital operations, performance improvement, or leadership development.
• Proven success managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or an equivalent methodology is preferred.

Interrelationships

Collaborates closely with management councils, medical staff, department directors, and associates. Acts as a key liaison between operational teams and executive leadership.

Work Shift

First shift, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek.
