Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Certified Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) working the day shift from 10:00am to 6:30pm. This role involves ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care by meticulously cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments, implants, metal goods, and equipment. You will be responsible for assembling and packaging instruments, maintaining accurate sterilization records, and supplying sterile items to various hospital departments including Surgery and the Childbirth Center. Occasional weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call duties are required, with a response time of 45 minutes during one holiday call period annually.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience and Requirements: Preference given to candidates with prior experience in sterilizing surgical or hospital equipment. Certification as a Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) is mandatory, though training and assistance with certification are available. The role demands strict adherence to body substance precautions, respiratory and isolation protocols, and safe operation of sterilization equipment such as HIVAC sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, ETO, and Sterrad systems. Attention to detail and accurate documentation are essential for maintaining compliance and patient safety.
